The SD-player is a novel 44.1 / 16 digital audio source with integrated TDA1541A-MK4 DAC. Music (wav) is stored on solid-state memory cards supporting up to 99 CDs and 99 tracks / CD and random play. SD(HC) memory cards up to 32Gb are already tested and supported, these offer storage for up to 56 CD images. Free ECDSD utility program for Linux, Mac OSX and Windows is available for easy memory card programming. Disc and Track numbers appear on large, very easy to read LED displays. SD-player can be controlled by 6 front panel keys or by IR remote control. The unit comes with a low cost universal RC, the High-End RC is optional. Optional battery power supply eliminates mains interference. The SD-player has single-ended outputs (RCA), 500 Ohms output impedance and 0.7V rms (2Vpp) output amplitude. Recommended minimum load (volume potentiometer) equals 10 K Ohms. SD-player passive output circuit offers maximum resolution, yet requires careful matching with connected equipment for optimal results. Recommended volume control, 10K wire wound potentiometer. Recommended power amplifiers, linear MOSFET or tube amplifiers with fewest possible semiconductors or tubes in the signal path. The use of digital power amplifiers is not recommended.
